The answer is simple: you don't need to! The reasons will always fall into the subjective category and, therefore, they don't need to be justified with big statistical explanations of why a blog is the best decision.

But for me, a blog is the best, if not the only, viable means of expressing a personal account of self-development. Trying to come up with a why would therefore be a mere justification to others of a decision that only I can make.
